At the age of 18, Karina began her academic training in Fine Arts with a mention in painting and later, in 2016, she moved to the city of Buenos Aires where she continued her artistic path with new works, but with the same purpose. His art consists of intervening banknotes with the faces of personalities, landscapes and other iconic figures of the Venezuelan pop imaginary, with the intention of giving them visibility and weight through art.

The term artivism was adopted from his work with the NGO Un Mundo Sin Mordaza, with whom he promotes the fight for human rights in Venezuela. Rubby is the host of the webshow: "Your Art is Your Power" where she talks with various artivists about their artistic proposals and the way they approach the fight for human rights from their platforms.

In June 2021, he represented the country in the Venezuela Art Fair exhibition that took place in New York City, where more than 80 Venezuelan artists from different disciplines participated. In December 2021, he returned to participate in his 2nd. Edition. He was also part of a tribute to maestro Armando Reverón that took place at MANA Contemporary in Jersey City. In March of this year he returns to the Venezuela Art Fair not only to exhibit his pieces, but also as part of his production team.
