The Archdiocese of Caracas

The Archdiocese of Caracas comprises 100 Parishes and 13 Vicariates distributed in the Libertador Municipality of the Capital District and the Chacao, Baruta, and El Hatillo Municipalities of the State of Miranda in Venezuela. Likewise, it has 1 Priestly House and 2 Seminaries.

Currently, the highest authority of the Archdiocese of Caracas is Cardinal Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo, appointed Apostolic Administrator by Pope Francis in July 2018.

The funds will benefit 4 main pillars of the Archdiocese of Caracas

Education
Support the 21 parochial schools of the Archdiocese of Caracas housing 10,961 students, primarily located in vulnerable areas of the city, with facility maintenance and improvement and qualified teachers to provide a good level of education.

Food
Assist feeding programs and soup kitchens organized by the priests and nuns from the Parishes and Vicariates that provide breakfast and lunch to children and adolescents while their parents receive development training and tools for the workforce to undertake and achieve their livelihood.

Pastoral Activities
Contribute to developing safe spaces that remove children and adolescents from street life by teaching Christian principles and values.

Canonization
Cover all the costs incurred to comply with the canonization process of Blessed Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.
